Making an Infused Oil

In this webinar we will discuss the step-by-step process of creating an infused oil using three methods: water bath, solar, and slow cooker.
Amanda discussed common garden herbs which can be used to create versatile infused oils for salves, body oils, and skin care preparations. We will explore several carrier oils which are ideal for creating infused oils. Amanda will demonstrate making a Calendula infused oil and a St. John’s Wort infused oil.

Enhanced Aromatherapy Formulation: Synergy with Infused Oils, Carrier Oils, and Essential Oils

Presented by ACHS Alumni Michael Ford

In this webinar, we will review some of the basics regarding carrier oils, infused oils, and what makes these oils different from essential oil. Michael discusses the phases of creating a cosmetic formula using carrier oils, infused oils, and essential oils. Lastly, there will be a demonstration of preparing four different formulae: an anti-aging facial oil, an invigorating body scrub, a soothing bath & body oil, and a healing ointment.
