Join ACHS Herbal Medicine Department Chair Scott Stuart on campus and online for a discussion on historical figures in herbal medicine!
This talk will introduce budding herbalists to the important historical figures of Karl Linnaeus, David Douglas, Jane Colden, and Marianne North.
You will learn...
- The contribution of each of these figures to the field of botany and herbalism.
- The impact of each person on the world in general.
- The challenges, especially for women, as botanists in this time period.
- An appreciation for this era of exploration and history and, hopefully, inspire further individual research and learning in the historical lineage of herbal studies.
