ACHS AAS Graduate Awarded 2019 DEAC Famous Alumni

Portland, Oregon – Miriam Isinini Popp, Bakersfield CA, will be honored as the Distance Education and Accrediting Commission (DEAC) 2019 Famous Alumni award winner at the American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) graduation ceremony, to be held at the World Forestry Center in Portland, Oregon, on June 21, 2019. The DEAC Famous Alumni of the Year award celebrates the achievements of distance education students who have demonstrated academic excellence and consistent commitment to society and their chosen profession.

When searching for a school that would provide a well-rounded approach to holistic living, Miriam found the American College of Healthcare Sciences. She enrolled in the Associate of Applied Science in Health and Wellness program in 2015 and graduated in 2017.  She also completed the Certificate in Wellness Consulting program with honors.

Her dream of empowering overworked, overstressed women with mind, body, and soul tools to manage their stress was launched into becoming a reality with the education she achieved at ACHS.  During her last year of studies, Miriam built her online based coaching business, Vibrant Lifestyle Coaching, which encompasses everything she learned in her Associate of Applied Science in Health and Wellness program. She utilizes social media to promote and increase exposure for her business and mission.

“Truth be told, armed with what I have learned at ACHS, I have been able to create a ripple effect of change in the world.  There are still times I surprise myself with the wealth of knowledge I am able to bring to my clients,” says Miriam Isinini Popp.

Miriam created online workshops, a weekly live show on Facebook, digital courses, and one-on-one coaching programs focused on living full, vibrant lives holistically. Over the last year, she’s worked primarily with women business owners to help them manage their own stress.  She is showing them how to incorporate nutrition, lifestyle changes, herbal therapy, aromatherapy and so many other stress management tools to their toolbox.  Recently, she joined Young Women Reaching Accomplishable Places (YWRAP) located in Bakersfield, California and volunteers her time to speak to young girls about living a balanced life using holistic tools.
