ACHS to Host Four-Day ‘Current Issues in Aromatherapy’ Workshop in Kona, Hawaii

Portland, OR—July 19, 2018—American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) will host a four-day, four-night workshop, Kona Aromatherapy Workshop: Current Issues in Aromatherapy, November 4-9, at the college’s satellite campus in Kona, Hawaii: 81-958 Halekii St., Suite 5C, Kealakekua, HI 96750.

Led by Dorene Petersen, ACHS founding president and chair of the Aromatherapy Registration Council, this workshop is designed for professional aromatherapists, aromatherapy students, and aromatherapy enthusiasts. The workshop features several days of small-group workshops on topics like essential oil chemistry, safety, quality assessment, client intakes, and therapeutic aromatherapy blending including blending for aromatherapy reflexology. Participants will receive an expert aromatherapy blending kit and supplies to use hands-on during the sessions, as well as one-year access to ACHS’s Aromatherapy Monographs written by Petersen.

About Dorene Petersen

ACHS Founding President Dorene Petersen (BA, Dip.NT, Dip.Acu, RH (AHG)) has more than 38 years’ clinical teaching and lecturing experience in aromatherapy and organic essential oils. She has presented papers on essential oils and clinical aromatherapy at several conferences, including International Federation of Essential Oils and Aroma Trades, Asian Aromatherapy Conference, and Alliance of International Aromatherapists.
