Portland, OR—August 10, 2015—The American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) proudly announces ACHS Graduate Certificate in Nutrition graduate and Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition candidate has been awarded the National Association of Nutrition Professionals’ (NANP) 2015 Community Award.

NANP Community Award recipients are peer nominated and selected for their individual efforts to improve the health of the nation. Inalsingh is a respected researcher and presenter on nutrition-supported recovery from brain trauma in boxers and the use of foot reflexology and craniosacral therapy for head trauma and health issues affecting professional female athletes. She is also a clinical integrative reflexologist.

“I am so humbled to be selected as the recipient for the NANP 2015 Community Award, feeling that what I have done is a small contribution to my community and knowing that there is still so much more to be done to transform the state of health and healthcare,” Inalsingh says. “I must accept this honor on behalf of every Holistic/Integrative Health Care Professional, wherever in the world they may be, because we all share […] a passion for what we do and the desire to be of service to our community.”

Inalsingh has been appointed to the Health and Environmental Safety Committee of the World Boxing Association and sits on the Medical Advisory Committee of the World Boxing Association. She was the recipient of the ACHS 2014 DEAC Famous Alumni award and has been recognized for her work with 9/11-associated trauma victims and first responders in New York City, NY.

Inalsingh has also been a guest speaker at several World Boxing Association seminars and is an influential community member, providing clients with the necessary tools to make informed food choices for a healthy community.

“Through our collaboration we can continue to fill an important gap in healthcare and transform the lives of people around the world,” Inalsingh says. “The ACHS Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition program has been one of the most rewarding professional decisions I have made, and for this, I am deeply grateful.”

“Shivana is an outstanding representative of ACHS and the holistic healthcare field at large. She is unquestionably deserving of this award for her incredible efforts and achievements in her community as well as with clients. I am extremely pleased to see her recognized by NANP,” says ACHS President and Founder Dorene Petersen.
