Luis conferred his Master of Science in Complementary Alternative Medicine following his retirement from the United States Air Force as an Information Manager. As part of his military career, he served in Iraq during the armed conflict. Michele experienced a special connection to nature when she lived in Sebastopol, California in 2004. From that point on her love for natural products and formulating began. She became fascinated with aromatherapy and its benefits for the body and mind. Michele studied books, took classes, and obtained certifications as her interest in different plants, oils and herbs grew. She focused on health, nutrition, Ayurveda, herbalism, energy work, massage and bodywork.
Michael graduated with honors from the Certificate in Aromatherapy program, continued on to confer his Diploma in Aromatherapy, and also received a Master of Science of Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, OR. Michael is now a Registered Aromatherapist through the Aromatherapy Registration Council (ARC) and a Licensed Acupuncturist through the state of MA.
"If you feel bored, depressed, disillusioned, burned out, take a class in a subject that interests you. It will enliven, inspire, refresh, rejuvenate your mind, body and soul. New doors will open for you to walk through. If it did for me, it can do the same for you! After all, time goes by anyway, right?! You might as well be opening yourself to new knowledge and opportunities by going to school as time passes."

"This was one of the first steps I took in my path to working in the healthcare field. I went on to become a doula and then a midwife. In 2014, I opened a freestanding birth center in South Central Minnesota. My training from ACHS has been extremely helpful as I regularly use herbal remedies during pregnancy and postpartum time."
"My experience with ACHS was outstanding. The staff is very caring and compassionate. I went through some very difficult times during my degree program, [and] they were very supportive and willing to work with me. They ensured that I received the most out of my education and encouraged me to continue on even through my rough patches."
"Using my experience in the health industry and my education in business, environmental science, and now holistic nutrition, I will educate consumers and clients about the tools and modalities available for lifestyle modification, as well as lifelong wellness. I plan to further develop my own holistic nutrition consulting business (Traditional Wellness™) and collaborate with other holistic health practitioners to improve access to alternative and complementary medicine in my community."
"It began as an interest in finding help in a field other than modern medicine since that field had given up on my maladies and had nothing but prescriptions to offer my husband. The knowledge I have gained has served to save us significant amounts of money and resulted in the complete recovery of my husband's cholesterol levels back to normal among other successes."
