Amanda Heller, BS, MBA

Director of Enrollment Services

Amanda grew up on a 200-acre ranch, where her father was a leader in sustainable cattle grazing, sustainable logging practices, and watershed protection. This upbringing instilled in her a deep appreciation for the natural world. As a first-generation college student, she faced challenges, including periods of isolation, which fueled her desire to give back. This drive led her to a career in higher education, where she now has the privilege of guiding and supporting students. She helps them navigate admissions, align their goals with the right programs, and build confidence, all while serving as a resource, support system, and advocate.

Amanda was inspired to join ACHS because she sought a workplace where she felt respected and valued, and where the organization truly “walked the talk” in putting students first. From the moment she read through the catalog and saw how students were empowered and supported in pursuing their dreams and passions, she knew she had found a mission she could fully embrace. She is deeply committed to Dorene’s vision for the college and integrative health—expanding access to higher education and spreading holistic health knowledge globally. She believes in ACHS, in every student’s journey, and feels privileged to be a part of it.

Over the past 12 years at ACHS, Amanda has grown alongside the college, playing a key role in shaping the admissions department and processes. Her work with the VA department has been particularly rewarding, aligning with her passion for compliance and ensuring veterans receive the support they deserve. Additionally, collaborating across teams has been crucial in fostering a positive student experience, further developing her skills in cross-functional teamwork and student-centered goals.

With nearly 20 years of experience in higher education and college admissions, Amanda has a strong focus on leadership, student support, and advocacy. Her expertise in policy, procedures, and compliance allows her to navigate complex situations and ensure the institution stays on track. As a subject matter expert for both her team and students, she leverages problem-solving and customer service skills to create effective solutions. She takes pride in coaching and mentoring her team, fostering growth, and maintaining a positive, empathetic atmosphere, always keeping student success at the center of her work.

Professionally, Amanda is proud of her 12 years at ACHS, supporting hundreds of students through admissions and helping them achieve their goals. Leading the admissions team, resolving challenges, and collaborating with the VA department to develop processes and training are key accomplishments. She has also played a role in refining procedures within her department and across the institution to better support students. Personally, she values her commitment to self-improvement and mental health, including her daily walks with her dog, which help her stay grounded and better support others.

“What excites me most about my work is the opportunity to guide and support students in their journey to achieve their goals and passions. Being part of a mission that truly puts students first and empowers them to follow their dreams is incredibly rewarding. In the integrative health and wellness field, I am inspired by the chance to contribute to a holistic approach to education, helping students align their academic paths with their personal and professional aspirations. The ability to support students while also being part of a global movement to spread holistic health knowledge resonates deeply with my values, and it’s fulfilling to play a role in their success.”
