Military Scholarships for Holistic Health Education at ACHS
ACHS Military Scholarship
ACHS offers a Military Scholarship Program for U.S. honorably discharged veterans and eligible spouses or dependents of active duty servicemembers in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Reserves no longer eligible for education benefits. The ACHS Military Scholarship awards a one-time tuition scholarship of up to $1000 scholarship (not to exceed 35% of tuition).
Our Scholarship Committee reviews applications on a continual basis, upon receipt of all required documents. Recipients are typically notified within 48 hours.
Veterans must submit evidence they are not eligible for military education benefits.
Application Requirements
- All applicants must complete this ACHS Scholarship Application and arrange for all transcripts and other application materials to be sent to ACHS.
- Veterans must submit evidence they are no longer eligible for education benefits.
- Military Spouses and Dependents must submit documents demonstrating their spouse or parent’s current active duty (current LES).
- Enroll in minimum of 6 credit hours per enrollment.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- Complete ACHS Intake Assessment and receive acceptance from the ACHS Admissions Committee.

Additional Grant, Scholarship, & Tuition Resources
- AMVETS Scholarships – Annual scholarship opportunities available in $1,000 to $4,000 amounts to veterans, as well as their spouses, children and grandchildren.
- The Army Emergency Relief (AER) Scholarship – Provides financial assistance to eligible soldiers, their spouses, and dependent children, covering up to $2,000 for undergraduate education or technical training. Recipients are selected based on demonstrated financial need, academic performance, and commitment to education.
- Disabled War Veterans Scholarship – Scholarships of $2,500 will be offered to active-duty service personnel, honorably discharged U.S. military veterans, reservists, and National Guard personnel who are disabled because of wounds received during combat service in Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan or Iraqi Freedom Operations.
- Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship: Students who have completed 60 credit hours towards the Bachelor of Science in Integrative Health Sciences or Bachelor of Science in Holistic Nutrition can apply for the Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship to receive up to nine months of additional Post-9/11 GI Bill entitlement or a maximum of $30,000. Eligible Post-9/11 GI Bill students must have either exhausted their entitlement or will exhaust their entitlement within 180 days.

- The Fisher House Foundation Scholarship – The Fisher House Foundation Scholarship is available for the military unmarried children’s who are under 23 years of age and are enrolled or planning to enroll, in a full-time undergraduate degree program at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Fleet Reserve Association Scholarships – A variety of scholarships are available to veterans, military members and their families affiliated with the USN, USMC or USCG
- The General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant Program – A need-based grants to full-time college undergraduates who are dependent children or spouses of active duty, certain reserve and guard members, retired personnel, and surviving spouses of Air Force and Space Force members, with specific eligibility criteria excluding those on drill status. Grants ranging from $500 to $4,000 are awarded to eligible Air Force dependents each year.
- Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grants – Children who lost their parents or guardians in the line of duty in Iraq or Afghanistan may be eligible for this Pell Grant award, but must have been under the age of 24 at the time of their parent’s death.
- Leave No Veteran Behind Scholarship – Offers retroactive scholarships for those who have already completed some type of postsecondary training, but are in financial hardship and need help paying off student-loan debt. Also offers training opportunities for veterans.
- Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation Scholarship – Children of Marine Corps members who have lost their lives in the line of duty may be eligible for financial assistance.
- Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship – Children whose parents died in the line of duty after Sept. 10, 2001 can receive up to 36 months of educational benefits at the 100 percent level. Benefits are available until a beneficiary’s 33rd birthday.
- Military Officers’ Association of America Scholarship – The MOAA offers several grant and scholarship programs. Apply for all with one online application.
- The National Military Family Association (NMFA) – Offers military spouse scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,500. To qualify you must be the spouse of a post-9/11 service member who is either active duty, a retiree, a 100% disabled veteran, a Guardsman, a reservist, or a fallen service member, or you must qualify as a 20/20/20 spouse and hold or be eligible for a valid military/Uniformed Services ID.
- Navy/Marine Corps Relief Society Grant – Offers grants for undergraduate/post-secondary education at an accredited 2- or 4-year education, technical or vocational institution in the United States to children of veterans (including deceased) and active-duty military personnel dependents.
- Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) Education Assistance Program – Scholarships ranging from $500 to $3,000 and interest-free education loans up to $4,000 are awarded annually based on the FAFSA Student Aid Index and tuition costs, with funds allocated directly to institutions for educational expenses. Eligibility includes children and spouses of active duty, retired, or deceased Sailors and Marines, as well as active duty personnel in MECEP/MECP programs, with applicants encouraged to reapply each year as long as they meet the criteria.
- Paralyzed Veterans of America Scholarship – Offers scholarships to Paralyzed Veterans’ members, and members of their immediate families, up to approximately $10,000 in total scholarship funding to each qualified individual.
- Pat Tillman Foundation Scholarship – Scholarship for veterans, active duty military service members, and their spouses, who are full-time students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees (not certificates or associate degrees) at accredited U.S. institutions for the upcoming academic year. Tillman Scholars can expect an average award of $10,000.
- Purple Heart Program Scholarship – Scholarships to cover costs related to tuition, fees, and other education-related expenses for undergraduate programs of Purple Heart recipients, their spouses, children, and grandchildren.
- Sons & Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors Scholarship – $1,000 academic scholarship to Members, including children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other blood relatives of those serving in the Armed Forces stationed on the Island of Oahu or nearby on Dec. 7, 1941.
- Spouse Tuition Aid Program (STAP) – Providing financial aid to spouses in order to help them further their post-secondary educations.
- Veterans of Foreign Wars “Sport Clips Help a Hero” Scholarship – Up to $5,000 is available to veterans, active-duty personnel, and those in the reserves (all at the rank of E-5 or below) who are in need of financial assistance to be able to attend college and who have been accepted into or are currently enrolled in a VA-approved postsecondary institution.
