Margaret is a native Virginian. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health & Wellness, is a Licensed Master Esthetician, and Master Esthetics Instructor. She has trained extensively with top industry leaders in the skin care field. She has a skincare clinic and combines holistic and traditional skin care therapies to work with clients who have menopause & hormonal dysfunction, dermatologic and global skin tone issues. She is also certified in Osteopathy for facial esthetics.
Margaret and six estheticians were instrumental in working with the General Assembly to establish licensing regulations for the esthetics profession in Virginia. She now serves as Vice Chair on the regulatory board. She also teaches esthetics, aromatherapy, and holistic therapies at an esthetics/massage school and is a presenter on various topics at skin care conferences.
She shares her love of holistic medicine with her husband, Jan, who is also a master herbalist. For many years she and her husband had a successful herbal business where they created natural bath and body products which were sold mainly on the east coast. She also served in many positions in the Virginia Herb Association. Margaret has been a part of the ACHS family for many years as a student, Ambassador, and on the Advisory Council.
She still finds time to pursue her first love in classical music. She has performed (vocally) with the Richmond Civic Opera, Opera Alliance, Richmond Symphony Chorus, and is now part of a small ensemble, One Accord.
