Kathryn Swary was hired as the Content Marketing Specialist for ACHS in December of 2023. In her role, she creates, manages, and optimizes content to further ACHS’s mission to advance evidence-based, integrative health and wellness education. She is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, but lived in Chicago for 17 years and currently resides in Littleton, Colorado.
Kathryn has a passion for using creative copywriting and visual design to promote education and healthcare, which led her to ACHS. Kathryn worked as an event marketer and planner for 10 years at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. During that time, she helped publicize and execute around 100 events annually for faculty, students, staff, alumni, and donors. She started her career at the Chicago Sun-Times after graduating from Miami University of Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. She also worked for a private medical practice consisting of over 50 physicians, and a non-profit organization that helped provide better access to primary care in underserved areas around the globe.
Kathryn is proficient in content creation across multiple platforms. Her skills in writing blog posts and social media content help drive audience engagement, while her proficiency in graphic design enhances brand visuals. She also helps create videos and infographics that communicate key ACHS messaging. In 2024, Kathryn was proud to launch and produce content for the Apothecary Shoppe blog. She wrote and or/edited over 75 blogs in 2024 for both the ACHS and Apothecary Shoppe websites and also managed the social media platforms for both organizations.
