ACHS President Dorene Petersen will present the talk “Clinical Use of Aromatherapy for Brain Health: 7 Essential Oils” at the upcoming 2017 Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA) Conference to be held Aug. 3-6 at Heldrich Hotel in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Petersen’s talk is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 5 from 9:05-10:05 a.m. She will address aromatherapy’s potential application for memory retention, specifically with aging populations, which is a growing global issue. Petersen’s presentation will cover both common and less well-known essential oils such as black pepper, coriander, clove, Greek sage, lavender, rosemary, and Spanish sage. Attendees can meet Petersen at an ACHS-hosted meet and greet Aug. 4 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Booth #1 in the Exhibit Hall in the Heldrich Hotel, 10 Livingston Ave; open to the public.
