Conference explores latest trends, innovations, and best practices in distance education.
Portland, OR – The Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) recently held its annual conference from April 23rd to 25th, 2023, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The event brought together higher education leaders and practitioners to discuss the latest trends and challenges facing the distance education community.

The conference focused on accreditation for distance education and aimed to ensure the delivery of quality education to students.
The 2023 DEAC Conference covered a range of topics, including “Academic Integrity and Learning in a Generative A.I. World” and the use of ChatGPT within educational institutions. Another notable topic discussed was “Building, Leading, and Retaining a World-Class Admissions Team,” which explored best practices for retaining team members and creating team unity.
