ACHS Proudly Announces Dr. Judith Thompson as the New Dean of Herbal Medicine

Portland, Oregon, February 9, 2024 – American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Judith Thompson, ND as the new Dean of Herbal Medicine.

Dr. Thompson joined the ACHS Herbal Medicine faculty in 2023 and contributes extensive botanical and integrative health knowledge and a commitment to supporting student success and academic excellence. Her comprehensive educational background includes a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine and a bachelor of arts degree in Environmental Studies, Communication, and Humanities from the University of Arizona.

“Dr. Thompson brings clinical expertise, passion for teaching and helping students excel, and an entrepreneurial mindset to help students and faculty alike imagine what’s possible personally and professionally with an integrative health education. Dr. Thompson has served as the executive director of the Professional Naturopathic Medicine Institute and contributed significantly as a faculty member at Everglades University. Her teaching portfolio spans a broad range of topics, including herbal medicine, nutrition, and homeopathy.

In addition to her many accomplishments, Dr. Thompson is also the founder of Vital Health Publishing, LLC, and Discovering Healthy You, LLC. We are thrilled that she will bring her entrepreneurial mindset to the ACHS Department of Herbal Medicine to support our students and graduates further.

She is also an accomplished author and made substantial contributions in direct patient care as a Naturopathic Doctor and Midwife, providing holistic healthcare services. Her diverse experiences uniquely position her to lead as Dean of Herbal Medicine with a well-rounded perspective.
