2013 DETC Outstanding Graduate of the Year Tracey Robbins

In This Article

We are pleased to announce that ACHS graduate Tracey Robbins has been selected as the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) 2013 Outstanding Graduate. Honorees are selected for their academic record and the level and quality of their contribution to society and their chosen profession(s).

ACHS allowed me the freedom to study on my schedule and complete my degree. I now have the confidence to run my own business rooted in the strong foundation of knowledge and integrity ACHS provided to me through professional teaching and guidance,” says Robbins.

Robbins, a yoga instructor and 2012 graduate of the ACHS Associate of Applied Science in Complementary Alternative Medicine (AAS) and Diploma in Holistic Health Practice (HHP) programs, began her accredited holistic health education “eager to become knowledgeable about evaluating and purchasing high-quality skin and body products,” she says.

Robbins now owns and operates Traditions Wellness, a wellness center in Auburn, Washington, where she offers her own skin care line, yoga, massage, aromatherapy, wellness consulting, and herbal teas and tinctures to help the local community.

We selected Tracey for this recognition due to her dedication to her academics at ACHS and the positive impact her practice has had on the holistic health community,” says ACHS President Dorene Petersen. “It is inspiring to see Tracey apply her complementary alternative medicine knowledge to helping others on the journey to healthy living,” says Petersen.
