Heather Heck is originally from Ohio and was introduced to this field through personal experience with naturopathic medicine during her upbringing, as traditional medicine was unable to provide the healing solutions she sought. She has gained significant healing and fulfillment in this field, and is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others while contributing to the well-being of patients.
One key experience that significantly shaped her career was working alongside a team of healthcare professionals in a traditional clinic, where she had the opportunity to integrate alternative healing practices. This role deepened her understanding of patient care from a comprehensive, whole-body perspective. Additionally, her early exposure to naturopathic medicine, which she experienced growing up, provided her with valuable insights into the importance of individualized care and the power of alternative therapies.
Heather brings a strong foundation in nutrition, acupuncture and herbal medicine, along with extensive experience in patient care and traditional medicine. Her ability to effectively communicate with patients, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and apply evidence-based practices allows her to contribute to the overall success of the team. Additionally, her commitment to continuous learning ensures that she stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field, allowing her to provide the highest level of care and support.
She is proud of her ability to improve patient outcomes through a holistic approach to care. A key accomplishment was implementing a patient education program combining traditional and alternative methods. Heather also takes pride in the positive feedback and long-term relationships she’s built with patients. Personally, Heather values lifelong learning and self-improvement, always seeking to better understand herself and the world around her. This has allowed her to approach both her career and personal life with greater empathy and resilience.
Heather currently serves on the Board of the 343 Fund, where she assists in providing alternative care modalities, including psychedelic therapy, to support first responders. Additionally, she regularly contributes to Continuing Education (CEU) presentations at Northeast College of Healthcare Sciences and the American Nutrition Association (ANA).
“What excites me most about my work in the integrative health and wellness field is the growing recognition and support from government initiatives for alternative therapies. As research in psychedelics, herbs, and holistic modalities continues to evolve, it is encouraging to see how these modalities are being embraced as a legitimate and effective option for promoting health and wellness. The opportunity to contribute to this paradigm shift, alongside advancements in holistic approaches, fuels my passion for helping individuals achieve comprehensive, lasting well-being.”
