Prisca Bermudez, BA, BA, MA

prisca bermudez

Director of Academic Services

Prisca is from San Diego, CA, and is a proud first-generation college student. Her original plan was to become a classroom teacher, but along the way, she realized her true calling was guiding and supporting students—especially those, like her, who didn’t have someone to show them the ropes. Helping students navigate their educational journeys and empowering them to achieve their goals is what drives her every day.

She was inspired to join this organization because of its strong commitment to student success. Prisca wanted to be part of an organization that prioritizes support, guidance, and opportunity, ensuring that every student has access to the resources they need to succeed.

Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to enhancing student success through strategic leadership and innovative program development. With over fifteen years of experience in academic advising, student retention, and program implementation, she has led initiatives that significantly increased student engagement and persistence. Previously, as Director of Advising & Student Success, she played a key role in designing advising models and peer support programs that fostered student achievement.

Prisca brings a deep understanding of student success strategies, backed by years of experience in academic advising, retention initiatives, and student services. She thrives on solving challenges, whether it’s developing tailored support systems, using data to drive decision-making, or creating seamless processes that make life easier for students and staff.

Collaboration and leadership are also central to her approach. She enjoys mentoring teams, fostering a positive work culture, and ensuring that both students and colleagues feel supported and empowered.

Seeing students develop the skills and knowledge to make a meaningful difference in their own lives and communities.”
