This course develops students’ written communication skills with emphasis on understanding the writing process, analyzing readings, and practicing writing for personal and professional applications.
Apply all of the steps of the writing process in order to write cohesive paragraphs in an organized essay that supports a well-developed thesis.
Apply APA guidelines to cite scholarly sources in order to establish academic integrity.
Demonstrate the ability to compose a descriptive essay for an academic audience.
Illustrate the importance of selecting and integrating credible sources in academic and electronic writing forums.
Identify and correct sentence errors to avoid common errors in college writing.
