This is the second of two courses in the comprehensive study of the fundamental anatomical and physiological principles of human health and wellness, with a focus on the cardiovascular, lymph/immune, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. Students will examine the structure and function of these systems and their interconnectedness within the body, gaining insight into the roles they play in maintaining homeostasis and reducing the risk of disease. Students will gain an understanding of the complex organization and regulation of these key body systems and how various integrative modalities can support their function for optimal health and wellness.

Describe and analyze the anatomy, histology, and physiology of human organ systems, including structure, function, and regulatory mechanisms. human anatomy and physiology as it relates to body systems using clinical terminology.
Compare and contrast the interrelationships among organ systems to distinguish between normal physiological function and disease states.
Examine common medical conditions by analyzing their pathophysiology, pathogenesis, clinical relevance, and impact on human health.
