Meet Our Guest Speakers:
Tracey Abell - ACHS President
Tracey has always had a passion for natural health and joined American College of Healthcare Sciences in 2002. Tracey has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Western Governors University and a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Leadership in Higher Education from Capella University. She also studied massage therapy at East West College of Healing Arts and aromatherapy at ACHS. Tracey is a former board member of the Holistic Nutrition Credentialing Board of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals. She is also a member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers (AACRAO) and both the Oregon and National Associations of Student Financial Aid Administrators. Tracey also serves as an accreditation standards evaluator for the Distance Education Accrediting Commission, specializing in Business Standards and Title IV requirements. Tracey enjoys travel and has spent time throughout Europe and in Thailand, Australia, and India. She loves spending time in her garden and exploring the beautiful Pacific NW.
Dr. Jerry Walker - TimelyCare
Dr. Walker is a licensed clinical psychologist, board-certified in counseling psychology, who serves as the Executive Director of Mental Health Services for TimelyCare. Prior to his current role, Dr. Walker oversaw Psychological Services as well as the in-house Peer Support Program for a large hospital system in the Midwest. Dr. Walker earned his undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Communications from the University of Texas, Austin. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology & Human Systems from Florida State University. He then served in the U.S. Air Force for 8 cumulative years between active duty and contract work as a clinical and operational psychologist, where he successively managed an outpatient substance abuse treatment program, outpatient mental health clinics, integrated primary care behavioral health, population suicide prevention programs, and disaster behavioral health teams--both stateside and in a deployed location. His final position with the Air Force involved organizational consultation and human factors risk assessment and mitigation for an international U.S. intelligence organization.
Sarah Hasler - Herb Pharm
Sarah Hasler is Director of Botanical Affairs at Herb Pharm and brings a rich and diverse background in traditional Western herbalism, nutrition, and plant medicine education. A Registered Dietitian with a B.S. in herbal medicine and a B.S. and M.S. in nutrition, Sarah has spent years learning, teaching, and practicing plant-based wellness across various traditions, including Ayurveda, TCM, and Five Element practices. Her teaching experience spans topics from tincture percolation to eating on a budget, with a commitment to making herbs and nutrition accessible to diverse communities. Passionate about bridging ecological respect, scientific rigor, and ancestral knowledge, Sarah inspires audiences to see plants as partners in wellness and sustainability. Nate Brennan - Pacific Botanicals
Nate Brennan is the Sr. Supply Chain Manager at Pacific Botanicals and responsible for sourcing the best botanicals from farms in the U.S. and around the world. In his role, he’s able to set up long-term working relationships with reliable vendors and enjoys making personal connections with suppliers. Nate has a degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon and currently serves as an AHPA board member and contributor to the Sustainable Herbs Initiative. In this webinar Nate will contribute insights into the benefits of regenerative farming, trends affecting the botanical supply chain, and practical ways wellness professionals can promote sustainability.
