American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) and Hawthorn University (HU) have worked side-by-side to create a collaborative teach-out and/or transfer plan for current HU students and provide individualized pathways to success.
ACHS is honored to be entrusted by Hawthorn University and the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) to continue HU students’ learning journey when it closes its doors on December 15, 2021.
In addition, ACHS has been appointed as the HU custodian of record for both current and former students and graduates.
To make the transition as seamless as possible, ACHS has dedicated advisors trained in the individualized pathways for HU students.
With this option, you will be able to complete your current enrolled program supervised by ACHS in accordance with your current program enrollment agreement.
When you select this option, your broader community may be limited as only HU students will have access to these courses. You will also have full access to ACHS student coaching, a thriving online support community, experienced faculty and staff committed to your success.
To select Option 1, please email ACHS Admissions by September 15, 2021, to complete the Student Teach-Out Agreement.
Option 2 Current Student – Full-Immersion:
ACHS will support you to maximize your education and experience to transfer to an ACHS certificate, diploma, or degree program with support from a dedicated admissions advisor to support your application.
With this option, you will fully engage with like-minded peers from across the U.S. and around the world in interactive online classrooms, engaging social platforms, and community coaching groups. All Hawthorn students and alumni can log in to their student portal to order transcripts online. All students and alumni can easily order an official transcript online for a cost of $15. To order a transcript log in to the Hawthorn student portal and select “Registrar Services” from the menu and “Request Transcript” from the dropdown menu. Fill out the online request form, pay the fee and receive the transcript via USPS mail.
Effective December 16, 2021, Hawthorn University transcript requests will be filled by ACHS as the custodian of record. To request a transcript after December 16, 2021, Hawthorn University students should email the ACHS Registrar’s Office at registrar@achs.edu for assistance. A transcript fee of $10 will apply and can be paid securely online here.
