American College of Healthcare Sciences Foundation Call for Board Nominations

Portland, OR– December 16, 2025The American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) Foundation announces a call for nominations to serve on the Foundation Board of Directors. The ACHS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation dedicated to expanding access to integrative health and wellness education and supporting community impact initiatives.

The ACHS Foundation Board of Directors provides strategic leadership and stewardship for philanthropic priorities, including scholarships, community and global wellness projects, and initiatives that advance evidence-based integrative health and sustainable practices. Board members play a key role in guiding priorities, strengthening partnerships, and assuring the Foundation’s impact.

Board Member Profile and Responsibilities

The ACHS Foundation welcomes nominations from a broad range of backgrounds, including:

  • Integrative health and wellness
  • Higher education and workforce development
  • Finance, accounting, or investment management
  • Philanthropy, fundraising, and nonprofit governance
  • Sustainability, social impact, and community health
  • Legal, compliance, or public policy

The Foundation is seeking Board Candidates who will:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to integrative health, wellness, and education
  • Promote our values of sustainability and community impact
  • Bring experience in governance, strategy, finance, development, or stakeholder engagement
  • Be prepared to serve as an active ambassador for the ACHS Foundation

What can you expect as a board member: 

  • Term: One year
  • Meetings: Up to 3–4 meetings per year, held virtually and/or in Portland, Oregon
  • Service: Participation on at least one committee and periodic support for strategic initiatives

Interested candidates may submit their nomination online here. The nomination deadline is January 31, 2026, with priority review beginning January 5, 2026.
