ACHS is very pleased to introduce you to Dr. Clyde B. Jensen, the College’s newest member of the Board of Directors.

“Clyde’s exceptional experience bridging the fields of traditional medicine and complementary alternative medicine (CAM) in higher education provides valuable insight and guidance. His expertise will positively impact future holistic healthcare professionals and his career-long commitment to education and health reflects the core values of ACHS,” said ACHS President Dorene Petersen.

“It is my personal mission to help ‘mend the cleft’ by fostering collaboration among health care professionals and their educational institutions. It is gratifying to help affect change and positively impact the ACHS world-wide community,” said Jensen.

Dr. Jensen holds a Ph.D. in pharmacology and physiology. He is distinguished as the only person to have served as a leader and professor in colleges of allopathic medicine, osteopathic medicine, naturopathic medicine, oriental medicine, and chiropractic. He has coined the phrase “continuum cleft” to describe the gap that separates conventional and complementary healthcare.  He first presented the continuum cleft and its financial and quantitative characteristics affecting health care consumers at the 2011 International Conference on Integrative Oncology in Rome, Italy. Jensen has served as a consultant in the natural products industry and member of accreditation councils for chiropractic and occupational therapy education.

“Clyde is renowned in both the higher education and the health fields, and we are very honored to have him on board as a vital resource and asset to our students,” added Petersen.
