Margaret holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health & Wellness, is a Licensed Master Esthetician, and Master Esthetics Instructor. She has trained extensively with top industry leaders in the skincare field. In her skincare clinic, she has worked with dermatologists and plastic surgeons combining clinical skincare with holistic treatments in working with clients in the areas of menopause & hormonal dysfunction, dermatologic and global skin tone issues. She is Oncology-trained to work with individuals with cancer and certified in Osteopathy for facial esthetics.

Margaret and six estheticians were instrumental in working with the General Assembly to establish licensing regulations for the esthetics profession in Virginia. She now serves as Chair on the regulatory board. She also teaches esthetics, aromatherapy, and holistic therapies at an esthetics/massage school and is a presenter on various topics at skincare conferences.

She shares her love of holistic medicine with her husband, Jan, who is also a master herbalist. For many years she and her husband had a successful herbal business where they created natural bath and body products that sold mainly on the east coast. She also served in many positions in the Virginia Herb Association. At ACHS, Margaret has completed the Holistic Health Practitioner program, served as an Ambassador, on the Advisory Council, and received the Distinguished Teaching Award for 2021.

She still finds time to pursue her first love in classical music. She has performed (vocally) with the Richmond Civic Opera, Opera Alliance, Richmond Symphony Chorus, and is now part of a small ensemble, One Accord.
