She now serves as Chair on the regulatory board. She also teaches esthetics, aromatherapy, and holistic therapies at an esthetics/massage school and is a presenter on various topics at skincare conferences.

She shares her love of holistic medicine with her husband, Jan, who is also a master herbalist. For many years she and her husband had a successful herbal business where they created natural bath and body products that sold mainly on the east coast. She also served in many positions in the Virginia Herb Association. At ACHS, Margaret has completed the Holistic Health Practitioner program, served as an Ambassador, on the Advisory Council, and received the Distinguished Teaching Award for 2021.

She still finds time to pursue her first love in classical music. She has performed (vocally) with the Richmond Civic Opera, Opera Alliance, Richmond Symphony Chorus, and is now part of a small ensemble, One Accord.
