Shawn Hallum is a professor at American College of Healthcare Sciences and has been an established and passionate member of the resort, hotel, spa, retail, and wellness communities since 1995. The consummate professional, Shawn’s commitment to excellence has enabled him to lead large and diverse operations for elite-level companies. He has served in leadership and executive roles for The Sports Club Company (Operations Manager), Plus One Health Management (Corporate Spa Director), Bacara Resort & Spa (Executive Manager), Premier Salons (Vice President, Luxury), and Red Door Spas (Regional Vice President). His guidance and contributions have had a positive impact for retailers including Saks Fifth Avenue, Holt Renfrew, Starwood Hotels on Maui, and Macy’s. Currently, Shawn is sharing his leadership expertise in the luxury hotel market throughout Hawaii. He also maintains his status as an independent organizational and executive coach to a diverse range of companies.

Shawn holds a Master’s Degree in Complementary Alternative Medicine and undergraduate degrees in business administration and sports management (wellness and fitness). He also has training and certifications in massage therapy, reiki, personal training, and performance enhancement. He is certified in retail management, risk management, and spa supervision with the International Spa Association.
