ACHS Staff

Tammy Mayberry, BA, MEd, MS, MA, RA

Assistant Professor

Tammy is from Texas and was introduced to aromatherapy and essential oils during a training presentation when she began coughing. A friend gave her a blend to help with the cough, which sparked her curiosity. Afterward, she spoke with her friend and began researching essential oils and their benefits for supporting the body.

She graduated from ACHS with a double master’s degree in Integrative Health and Aromatherapy. Tammy had a wonderful experience at ACHS, where she found her professors to be amazing. When the opportunity arose to join the faculty, she eagerly accepted.

With over 23 years of experience in education, Tammy started her career as a Science and Math teacher. After earning a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, she transitioned into an instructional coach role. She later worked in a central office writing curriculum and training teachers before serving as a Vice Principal at a middle school campus.

Throughout her career, Tammy has worked closely with at-risk students. She is patient and skilled at supporting them, helping to build their self-confidence, and encouraging them to continue their education. She views her role as more than just teaching—it is about coaching students and focusing on their strengths.

One of Tammy’s proudest accomplishments is establishing mentoring programs for at-risk youth at multiple campuses. She has also written and received grants for programs and science equipment to support students. Tammy is passionate about lifelong learning and continues to expand her knowledge in holistic health.

“I truly enjoy working with the students and hearing the excitement in their voices when they write about a lab that we do or new information that we talk about. I love the way they are eager to learn and grow in the field they are passionate about and share that knowledge with others.”
