When Lacy Watson, the founder of Morning Moon Digital Media, first dreamed of becoming a naturopathic physician, she saw it as the only path forward. The need for flexibility with school while working full-time in naturopathic medicine made her reconsider—but that’s when she discovered the American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) and enrolled in the Associate of Applied Science in Integrative Health Sciences program (formerly AAS in Complementary Alternative Medicine).
“It had everything I was looking for in an online school and more!” she says. “I had never seen a school that had such a robust herbalism program online. I was thrilled to discover that ACHS offered a well-rounded, fully online program. It gave me the tools and inspiration I needed without compromising my job.”
ACHS became more than just a stepping stone; it was a foundation. “ACHS taught me the value of anchoring in with my wellness foundations, giving me the resources to be successful in my future endeavors,” she says. “I am forever grateful for the education I received!”
Ten years later, the seeds planted at ACHS have blossomed into a thriving business that blends holistic vision with practical digital strategy. What began with wooden aroma boxes and hands-on herbal medicine kits has grown into Morning Moon Digital Media—a unique, woman- and veteran-owned family business that aims to be a light in the digital world.
A “Business Bestie” for Budding Entrepreneurs
At its heart, Morning Moon is more than a consulting company; it’s a partnership. “We’re the business bestie for budding entrepreneurs in the health and wellness industry,” Lacy explains. “We guide our clients through the rabbit hole of internet entrepreneurship and beyond.”
Morning Moon helps clients shine both online and offline through digital media, wellness coaching, and business consulting. Whether someone is just starting out with a side hustle or ready to grow into a full-time practice, Morning Moon meets them exactly where they are, offering personalized support every step of the way.
“I’m in the trenches with you, from dream to launch,” she says. “You don’t need to have it all figured out, that’s what we’re here for.”
Turning Aromatherapy into Strategy
Aromatherapy is one of the most creative marketing tools used by Morning Moon.
“We sell Freshies at local markets, which are hand-made air fresheners made with aroma beads with high-quality oils, baked inside a mold. They are little physical representations of people’s dreams,” Lacy shares. “Smell this, and remember what you’re working toward. It’s both a product and a conversation starter. A reminder to keep your vision alive.”
This fusion of scent, story, and strategy reflects the holistic philosophy behind the business.
Helping Wellness Practitioners Thrive
From massage therapists and yoga instructors to acupuncturists and rolfing practitioners, Morning Moon helps wellness professionals bring their visions to life.
One client, Carmen, expanded her massage therapy practice into a hybrid wellness and movement studio. Morning Moon built her entire online platform, from her website and booking system to her content calendar, making the process so smooth, “she woke up one day and it was all just there.”
Another client, a rolfing specialist with an outdated website and no clear call to action, got a complete digital transformation. Morning Moon not only redesigned the client’s website but also developed a marketing and deliverables package that helped with client referrals and an existing radio campaign. These changes helped the community to understand what the provider was offering, leading to more bookings. As a result, the client has booked himself out a month and a half in advance.
Lacy says, “My favorite thing is helping practitioners fill their books — giving them the digital confidence to grow their practice and do what they love.”
From Overwhelmed to Empowered
When she first started her business, the digital landscape felt like a maze. Lacy found the funnel system and the tech to be overwhelming. But through high-level mentorship and real-world practice, she developed a step-by-step system that now supports others.
“Most people don’t know where to start. Website? Booking page? Email list? I help take that paralysis away and carry that weight for them,” she says. “And I build a structure that fits their budget and is scalable for growth.”
Advice for Future Wellness Entrepreneurs
Lacy’s message to future ACHS grads and aspiring business owners is clear: “Just do it. Don’t give up! There will be ebbs and flows in business — so even if it looks like it’s going slow, just keep swimming.”
Her business and her life are proof that when you combine heart, strategy, and the right support, anything is possible. Thanks to ACHS and a strong foundation in wellness, Lacy now empowers others to bring their gifts into the world. Morning Moon Digital Media continues to be a steady light, guiding entrepreneurs through the chaos of the digital world and into the calm confidence of a business built on purpose.
