You’ll explore how these plants interact with the human body to promote wellness in simple, easy-to-understand terms.  Safety techniques for creating basic herbal preparations like soothing teas, effective tinctures, and nourishing salves are covered. Additionally, you’ll identify the benefits and potential risks of different herbs, empowering you to make informed choices for your family’s health. By the end of the course, you’ll be crafting simple herbal remedies to support immune health, ease digestion, first aid, and promote relaxation. Discover how to harness the power of herbs for your family’s health and wellness.

  • Explain the basic principles of herbalism and how herbs interact with the human body to promote whole person health, including their effects on immune support, digestive health, first aid, and sleep

  • Understand proper safety measures and techniques for preparing basic herbal formulations such as teas, tinctures, and salves.

  • Identify several common herbs used in crafting remedies for family and community wellness.

  • Compare and contrast the benefits and potential risks of different herbs for addressing common family health and wellness concerns.
