Join us for the ACHS Sustainability Research Initiative & Virtual Expo, a 90-minute live webinar spotlighting evidence-based sustainability across the botanical, essential oil, and nutraceutical industries. Guided by ACHS student research teams and industry partners, the event tells the “Sustainability Story” of three carefully selected ingredients- connecting the science of their therapeutic benefits, the real-world challenges of sourcing and production, and practical ways to bring sustainable choices into everyday life.
The expo unfolds in three 30-minute segments, each pairing student research with an industry perspective and a hands-on home application. Whether you’re a student, alum, industry professional, or curious consumer, you’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what sustainability really means in these fields, and how to act on it.

Meet Our Hosts:
Dr. Judith Thompson, ND
ACHS Dean of Herbal Medicine
Dr. Thompson brings expertise in clinical care, education, leadership, and advocacy in natural medicine. In her medical capacities, she developed patient care, crisis management, and refined diagnostic, treatment planning, and patient-centered care from newborns to the elderly. As a medical translator she strengthened communication and cultural competency. Her background in higher education honed her mentorship and research analysis. As a leader in policy advocacy, she advanced her organizational management skills working in collaboration with various medical associations and natural health professionals to advance holistic healthcare.
Amanda Lattin, BA, MAT, Dip. Aroma., MH, RA
ACHS Dean of Aromatherapy
Amanda views ACHS as a convergence of her core passions: botanicals, chemistry, education, and whole-person health empowerment. She has previously taught at institutions such as The Traditional Roots Institute at the National University of Natural Medicine. Her work includes authoring academic articles on aromatherapy theory and scientific holism, publishing professional case studies, and serving as a peer reviewer for scientific journals.
In 2007, Amanda founded her herbal and aromatherapy consulting practice, offering private client services, collaborating with clinical partners, and creating a line of aromatherapy products. Since 2021, she has served on the Board of Directors for the Alliance of International Aromatherapists.
Her areas of expertise include chemistry, phytochemistry, botanical medicine, aromatherapy, teaching, curriculum development, integrative health professional practice, research, entrepreneurship, academic writing, and leadership.
