In this webinar, participants will have a chance to hear about who the people working with Herbalists Without Borders (HWB) are, how they are providing herbal remedies to people in need around the world and why they are so driven to keep supporting community herbalism. Denise will also give an introduction to how HWB works in various cities in the U.S. and how to get started working with them if you are passionate about herbs and helping others.
Meet Our Panelist: Denise Cusack

Denise Cusack is the Executive Director of Herbalists Without Borders (HWB), a global nonprofit supporting holistic health and wellness in communities facing hardship. She leads relief efforts, trains volunteer coordinators, and manages HWB’s US Donation Network and Seed Grant program, delivering essential supplies to underserved areas through free clinics, outreach, and education.
Alongside running HWB, Denise is a clinical herbalist, certified aromatherapist, flower essence practitioner, and permaculture designer. At her Wholly Rooted Farm—a United Plant Savers Botanical Sanctuary—she cultivates a wide range of medicinal and aromatic herbs. Since joining HWB in 2017, she has been dedicated to advancing health justice and building sustainable, community-driven support.
