FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Portland, OR—August 19, 2015—More than 150 aromatherapists will gather in Denver, Colorado this fall for the upcoming Alliance of International Aromatherapists’ (AIA) 2015 International Aromatherapy Conference and Wellness Expo from September 10-13, 2015. American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS)—an accredited online college with certificate and degree programs in aromatherapy—is a Gold Sponsor of the Conference.
Aromatherapy is a fast-growing modality with new research and trends emerging rapidly, as well as a growing demand for high-quality essential oils and educated practitioners. The theme of the event is Creating Higher Standards for Aromatherapy, and the Conference will feature 21 expert sessions (including pre-conference workshops) ranging from topics such as essential oil myths and marketing hype to essential oils and mental health to navigating FDA laws and regulations.
The event will also include a comprehensive expo highlighting essential oil and natural product manufacturers and distributors, aromatherapy and wellness educational institutions, and other holistic health and wellness vendors.
“AIA has a robust history of upholding the highest standards of ethics, safety, and professionalism in the aromatherapy industry,” says AIA member and ACHS President and Founder Dorene Petersen. “As an institution, ACHS shares AIA’s goals to promote a caliber of education and practice that fosters safety, integrity, sustainable practices, and overall excellence in this industry. We are very proud to collaborate with AIA and sponsor this exciting event.”
ACHS has awarded four AIA Conference scholarships to ACHS students and graduates. Scholarship recipient and ACHS Masters of Science in Complementary Alternative Medicine graduate Brandie Lawrence says, “Attending the AIA conference in September is an amazing opportunity to immerse in aromatherapy culture and wisdom. Thank you ACHS for opening this door for me and allowing me to continue on the path of holistic health.”
