Portland, Ore.—February 22, 2021—American College of Healthcare Sciences’ (ACHS) President and Founder, Dorene Petersen, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Valerie Delleville as the college’s new Dean of Academic Affairs.
As Dean of Academic Affairs, Delleville will collaborate with the ACHS Center for Excellence in Teaching, Technology, and Assessment (CETTA) and stakeholders across the institution to provide academic leadership that assures high-quality curriculum standards and innovation. Delleville will also focus on developing programs that meet student needs, align with the institution’s mission and vision, and promote diversity and inclusive excellence.
ACHS President Dorene Petersen shared, “Dr. Delleville has impressive expertise in online higher education, and we are proud to welcome her to the team.”
Dr. Valerie Delleville has nearly 20 years of online higher education experience in program development, teaching, strategic partnerships, enrollment management, student retention, competency-based education (CBE), prior learning assessment (PLA), and sustainable change management.

Delleville holds an MBA and graduate certificate in Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School of Management and a Master of Science in Higher Education and Doctor of Education from Drexel University. She serves as Chair of the Association of Continuing Higher Education west board of directors and regularly publishes and presents about higher education innovation to both regional and national audiences.
