ACHS Announces Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis Specialist (FBCA)™ Micro-Credential Program

Portland, OR – American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS), an accredited college and Certified B Corp® based in Portland, Oregon, is excited to announce the launch of its new Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis Specialist (FBCA)™ micro-credential program.

This on-demand micro-credential provides a foundation for a holistic approach to evaluating blood chemistry with an emphasis on optimal values rather than clinical ranges. This course also emphasizes a correlation between all parts of the body, not just one independent biomarker. Students will develop an ability to effectively analyze the nutritional and supplemental needs of an individual through a review of functional blood chemistry labs. The student is also offered a comprehensive and scientific means of monitoring an individual’s overall state of health.

Developed in collaboration with subject specialist Cindy Ross, this micro-credential brings together clinical experience and practical knowledge to help other practitioners develop effective wellness support plans informed by more data. Cindy received her master’s degree in Nutrition from the American College of Healthcare Sciences and her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Alabama. Cindy’s legacy project is a non-profit 501(c)(3) she created in 2016 called C.H.A.D. where she uses her education to provide humanitarian work of functional medicine along with nutrition counseling in underprivileged communities worldwide. Cindy also has a chapter of Not Just Tourists in Orange Beach, Alabama providing medical supplies in developing countries. Cindy has a private practice where she empowers clients around the globe to embrace wellness in their life.

“The launch of the Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis Specialist™ micro-credential delivers important training on how to interpret functional blood chemistry lab results and insight into optimal values to inform the development of wellness support plans. Practitioners, product developers, and lifelong learners will all benefit from this training for personal community health,” shares ACHS President Tracey Abell.
