Portland, OR – June 17, 2023 – American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) proudly celebrated its 2023 graduating class at the historic World Forestry Center in Portland, Oregon. ACHS celebrates this year’s remarkable class of graduates who have demonstrated commitment and dedication to their education and passion for holistic health and helping others. Graduates traveled from across the country including Florida, Texas, and California, joined by family and friends, to celebrate in person in Portland, with hundreds of graduates and loved ones participating in the ceremony online via live stream.
The graduation ceremony, held yesterday, June 16, 2023, marked a momentous occasion for the graduates as they received their well-deserved degrees, diplomas, and certificates. The commencement ceremony celebrated the ACHS 2023 Outstanding Graduate and Famous Alumni. Outstanding Graduate Sian Seligman’s career in plant medicine began as a Chief Marketing Officer for a cannabis company graduated from the Master of Science in Herbal Medicine program. Today, Sian is a Board Trustee at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she is helping to integrate cannabis and psychedelics into their clinical psychology training program. ACHS also celebrated its 2023 Famous Alumni Dr. Janet Carter. Dr. Carter is a graduate of the Master of Science in Herbal Medicine program and combined herbal medicine studies with her expertise as a pharmacist. Dr. Carter has worked as a Field Implementation Team (FIT) Consultant with the Office of Patient-Centered Care and Cultural Transformation within the Department of Veterans Affairs. Within this office, she worked diligently to share different methods of complementary alternative treatment modalities with Veterans and providers.
