ACHS Introduces Exceptional New Faculty Members: Enriching Education in Nutrition, Organic Chemistry, and Alternative Medicine

Portland, OR – July 6, 2023 The American College of Health Sciences (ACHS) is thrilled to welcome three accomplished and esteemed faculty members to the ACHS faculty team, bringing expertise in the fields of nutrition, organic chemistry, and alternative medicine.

 

Dana Dragone, a Registered Dietitian and Certified Aromatherapist, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to ACHS. Dana brings experience in functional and integrative approaches to nutrition and wellness from her Doctorate of Clinical Nutrition and clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian as well as clinical aromatherapy practice experience. She will be teaching in the Departments of Aromatherapy and Integrative Health & Nutrition, empowering students with insights into the worlds of aromatherapy and functional nutrition. Colby Caldwell, an accomplished organic and natural products chemist, joins ACHS with over two decades of academic and industry experience. His extensive practical knowledge of modern laboratory tools and methods, including LC, GC, MS, NMR, and IR, will undoubtedly enrich the academic journey of ACHS students. Caldwell will be teaching General Education including ACHS’s introduction to chemistry for the health sciences course, CHEM 120, equipping students with a deep understanding of organic chemistry and natural products. ACHS is also excited to introduce Erin Stewart, a highly skilled practitioner specializing in acupuncture and aromatherapy. With over 18 years of experience in the field, Stewart is a licensed acupuncturist, licensed massage therapist, and certified aromatherapist. Her exceptional background includes holding a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM), and practicing in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle for several years. ACHS students will benefit immensely from Stewart’s expertise as she teaches in the Aromatherapy Department, including foundations of holistic aromatherapy in the AROMA 101 course, and clinical aromatherapy approaches in Aroma 303.
