Pamela Heyen represents ACHS as 2009 DETC Outstanding Graduate

Portland, Oregon–Each year the Distance Education Training Council asks their accredited institutions to select exceptional distance education graduates for recognition. Award winners must meet select criteria set for academic records and the quality of their contribution to their chosen profession in specific, and society in general. Outstanding Graduates are featured in the DETC Outstanding Graduate brochure and on the DETC website.

ACHS has selected Pamela Heyen as the ACHS 2009 Outstanding Graduate winner.

Heyen, who lives in Columbia, Missouri, graduated from the Diploma in Holistic Health Practice program in September 2007, and currently owns a holistic health practice, Heyen Wellness Therapies, which allows her to advise clients about personal health issues and lifestyle changes to maximize wellness.

Heyen only returned to school after she turned 50. She found her way to the Australasian College after restoring her own health using natural therapies, and enrolled to learn how best to help others take control of their health and improve their quality of life. While at ACHS, Heyen concentrated on holistic health, including the inter-workings of body systems and holistic protocols to help clients live healthier. When asked about ACHS, Heyen said:

“Natural health therapies gave me the tools to regain my health, but the ACHS program gave me a new passion for living life again!”
