In This Article

The final countdown has begun! On Friday, June 13, 2025, at 2 pm PT, ACHS will host its much-anticipated Commencement Ceremony — a heartfelt celebration of academic excellence, personal growth, and community connection. Whether you’ll be joining us in person at the beautiful World Forestry Center in Portland, Oregon, or attending virtually from across the globe, we can’t wait to honor the achievements of the Class of 2025 with you!

This day marks more than the culmination of courses and credits — it’s a celebration of perseverance and purpose dedicated to advancing holistic health and wellness.

A Moment of Milestones and Meaning

Dr. Janet Ludwig presents a degree to an ACHS graduateGraduation is a transformative milestone. Each ACHS student has walked a unique path — balancing family, careers, service, and self-discovery while committing to the rigorous study of holistic health. The Commencement Ceremony recognizes these accomplishments and the strength it takes to reach this moment.

With loved ones cheering on from near and far, and faculty and staff proudly watching their students cross the stage, Commencement is a day full of joy, gratitude, and reflection. From the traditional cap-and-gown processional to the turning of the tassels, each moment is steeped in meaning.

Honoring Our Award Recipients

This year’s ceremony will also spotlight members of the ACHS community who have gone above and beyond. We’re proud to present the following honors:

  • Distinguished Peer Tutor Award
  • Rising Star Peer Tutor Award

These students have generously shared their time and expertise to support their peers and help cultivate a collaborative learning environment.

  • DEAC Outstanding Graduate Award
  • DEAC Famous Alumni Award

These honors, awarded by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), recognize graduates who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, professional growth, and community impact.

  • Distinguished Faculty Award
  • Distinguished Teaching Award
  • Staff Excellence in Student Engagement Award

These awards highlight the dedication of our educators and support staff who empower students every step of the way.

We’ll also be honoring two cherished members of our ACHS family — Dr. Janet Ludwig and Helen Delfakis — for their years of extraordinary service and contributions to our institution’s mission. Their leadership has helped shape the ACHS experience for countless students and colleagues.

Community and Connection

Our students, faculty, staff, and alumni form a vibrant, supportive network that uplifts and inspires. Commencement is a special opportunity to bring that connection to life — a meaningful occasion when classmates, instructors, and staff can meet in person to celebrate shared accomplishments and a collective passion for the health and wellness industry. We’re honored to offer both in-person and virtual attendance options at commencement so that every member of our global ACHS family can take part in this important day.
