American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) has been named to the 2018 100 Best Green Workplaces in Oregon list by Oregon Business magazine. This is the fourth year in a row that ACHS has received this recognition. The 100 Best Green Workplaces in Oregon list is determined through the results of anonymous employee surveys and an independent assessment of the organization’s sustainability practices. This year, more than 13,500 employees took part in these surveys, which evaluate employee satisfaction with their employer’s sustainability initiatives and goals, efforts to reduce waste and promote non-toxic materials, energy conservation, support for alternative transportation, and sustainability ethics incorporated into products and services, among others.
The employer also completes a survey on topics like measurement of sustainability progress, rewards and recognitions for sustainability goals, environmental stewardship, and buying locally, among others. ACHS will learn its final ranking with the 99 other recognized organizations at the 2018 100 Best Green Workplaces in Oregon Luncheon and Celebration on Thursday, May 31, at The Nines Hotel in Portland, OR, at 11:30 a.m.
