Beginning a journey of holistic health education as an international student at the American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) is an exciting opportunity to join a global community dedicated to integrative health and wellness. As an institution specializing in online distance education and accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), ACHS is a great fit for international students.

Our programs offer evidence-based, flexible, virtual learning, making your goals accessible no matter where you live. If you’re an international student considering ACHS for your studies, this guide will help you understand the admissions process and make your transition as smooth as possible.

Step 1: Explore ACHS Programs

ACHS offers a range of online programs in aromatherapy, herbal medicine, holistic nutrition, and integrative health. As an international student, you can pursue your passion for wellness through ACHS’s flexible online learning platform without needing to relocate to the United States.

Program levels range from certificates and continuing education courses to bachelor’s, master’s and a doctorate degree. To help determine which program is right for you, submit a request for information and one of our knowledgeable advisors will reach out to provide further details and address any questions you may have.

Step 2: Review Admissions Requirements

International students must meet the same admissions criteria as domestic students, with additional considerations for non-U.S. education systems. Key requirements include:

  • Educational Credentials: Submit transcripts demonstrating the completion of secondary education (high school) or its equivalent for undergraduate programs, transcripts demonstrating the completion of a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent for Master’s programs, or transcripts demonstrating the completion of a master’s degree for the doctoral program. Prospective students with transcripts not in English must have transcripts translated and have their degree confirmed for US equivalency by a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) member foreign credential evaluation service. Prospective students who wish to have their credits evaluated for possible transfer of credit to ACHS should have their transcripts evaluated for course-by-course equivalency through an approved credential evaluation service.

  • English Language Proficiency: All ACHS courses are offered in English. If English is not your first language, you must provide proof of proficiency through tests like TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent.

Get more information about ACHS’s English proficiency requirements.

Step 3: Submit Your Application

Once you’ve selected your program, complete the ACHS online application. Be sure to:

  • Include all required personal and academic information.
  • Upload your transcripts and English language proficiency scores, if applicable.
  • Upload a copy of your passport or approved government-issued ID here.

Step 4: Plan for Financials

ACHS offers transparent tuition rates. While ACHS does not participate in U.S. federal financial aid programs for non-U.S. citizens, international students are encouraged to explore scholarships and grants available in their home country, employer, or through private organizations.

The cost of your education depends on several factors from what program you take to the electives you choose. Get more information about tuition pricing and what is included in the costs.

Step 5: Prepare for Online Learning

As an online college, ACHS requires all students to have the necessary technology to thrive in a virtual classroom. Ensure you have access to reliable internet, a functional computer, and any required software. ACHS’s online learning platform is designed to be user-friendly and accessible worldwide. While some other institutions also offer virtual programs, ACHS is unique because of our dedication to experiential learning.

Step 6: Connect with ACHS Support

The ACHS admissions team is here to guide you through every step of the process. Schedule a consultation with an admissions advisor to address any questions about program selection, application requirements, or support services for international students.

Step 7: Start Your Holistic Health Journey
