Step 3: Achieve Acceptance for Admission
A recommendation by the Admissions Committee is required. Review and sign your Academic Plan and Enrollment Agreement once accepted.

What professional fitness and integrative health skills will I develop in this program?
In this program, you’ll develop skills to work confidently as a fitness professional using an integrative, client-centered approach. You’ll build practical skills in fitness training, sports nutrition, and wellness coaching so you can provide education to clients and support the development of sustainable, wellness lifestyle plans. This program aligns fitness practice with whole-person care.
Is this program appropriate if I want to work part-time or in seasonal settings like resorts or athletic clubs?
Yes. While employer requirements may vary, this program is designed to be applied in part-time, contract, and seasonal positions. The skills you gain are applicable across settings such as gyms, athletic clubs, sports clinics, and resort or destination wellness centers.
Are there professional industry organizations I can join with this certificate?
Yes. While a license or certification are not required for employment, noting that each employer may have their own requirements, this program prepares students to sit for the International Society of Sports Nutrition Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN) exam and the National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) exam. Additional requirements, such as CPR/AED certification, must be obtained separately.
