Assistant Professor

Originally from Illinois, Cari spent years working in professional theatre before shifting focus to health and wellness. As a graduate student at ACHS, Cari discovered a passion for helping people build healthier habits in approachable, realistic ways. Now a board-certified health and wellness coach, meditation and yoga instructor, and online professor, Cari integrates CBT, mindfulness, and holistic well-being into their work.

A background in professional theatre provided insight into the deep connection between mindset, well-being, and performance. While studying at ACHS, Cari became passionate about helping people create sustainable, healthy habits. Coaching became a way to combine a love for personal growth, psychology, and mindfulness to make a real impact. Driven by the opportunity to empower others, foster meaningful change, and build a fulfilling career aligned with personal values, Cari brings a unique perspective to wellness.

Starting in professional theatre instilled discipline, resilience, and an understanding of how well-being affects performance. Touring and working in high-pressure environments highlighted the importance of mental and physical balance. This experience led to a career in health coaching, where Cari helps others build sustainable habits. Becoming a meditation and yoga instructor deepened their understanding of mindfulness, which is now integrated into coaching and teaching. These experiences shaped a holistic approach—making wellness both accessible and transformative.

With a unique blend of performance, coaching, and mindfulness expertise, Cari applies strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to connect with diverse individuals. As a board-certified health coach, they specialize in behavior change, CBT techniques, and sustainable habit formation. Their experience as a meditation and yoga instructor allows for the seamless integration of mindfulness into coaching, fostering holistic well-being. Passionate about making health accessible, Cari helps clients create realistic, lasting change.

Professionally, Cari takes pride in becoming a board-certified health coach, earning an MS in Health and Wellness, and guiding others toward growth and well-being. Integrating mindfulness into work has been especially rewarding. On a personal level, successfully adapting to career shifts—from theatre to wellness—while staying true to core passions remains a significant achievement. Building a flexible, purpose-driven life and creating meaningful connections with clients and students continues to fuel motivation and drive.

“I love helping people create sustainable, meaningful change in their lives. Seeing someone shift their mindset, build healthier habits, and realize their own potential is incredibly rewarding. The integrative health and wellness field allows me to combine science, mindfulness, and coaching to make well-being accessible and realistic for everyone.”
